William Canada Jacobs was the 1/2 brother or cousin to Noah Jacobs. This came from the records of Tilden Jacobs, William Canada Jacobs g grandson. He lived in Columbus County near the Long family until 1867 when he took all of his children and their families by ship to Oviedo, Florida in Seminole County.
Tilden Jacobs was the grandson of William Canada Jacobs. Tilden was a school teacher who never married and enjoyed searching the family history as a hobby. The story that came from Karen Jacobs, wife of Wayne Jacobs, great grandson of William Canada Jacobs, was that on Tilden Jacobs' 90th birthday that passed out the family history research out to everyone present. Later his house burned and all of his records went up in flames. All that was left were the copies of what he had presented at the party.
Below are the copies from the book, "Jacobs Journey" compiled and written by Karen Jacobs. It gives detailed family history of all of the children of William Canada Jacobs and Dorcas Long Jacobs.
